Zucchini and tomatoes

Found at the Remond Saturday Market:  Fruits and vegetables

Zucchini and tomatoes are normally associated with summer, and as it is autumn, I was delighted to still find some summer delights at our local farmers’ market—perhaps they’re leftovers of summer’s bounty.  A lovely sautéed dish is what became of those beautiful vegetables (though, technically, the tomato is a fruit but that’s neither here nor there).

Technically, so is zucchini ;). Great find! Most of the tomatoes near me didn’t do so well.

And so it is! Thanks for the information, I actually didn’t know that. 🙂

It never occurred to me until I was reading On Food and Cooking by Harold McGee. Turns out my favorite veggies are actually fruits.

A girl after my own heart… What a lovely coincidence! I too have the book (it was a gift); “On Food and Cooking” is an exceptional reference for serious cooks. What fun that your fave veggies are fruits!
