A Fond Farewell to Summer

21 Sep

Tomorrow is the autumnal equinox which means that tomorrow fall officially begins. Though by the looks of the weather these past couple of days since Ryan and I’ve been back from England, autumn already began. Or has it begun even earlier than that. I’ve heard righteous grumblings from a few that summer hardly made an appearance. What a pity that warm and sunny days were numbered during this year’s summer season.

Luckily, I managed to photograph some of the season’s best beginning with daikon (albeit its actual in-season is spring, being a radish after all) and ending with mango and papaya (although both are generally available year-round). In between are the real fruits of the season.

Here’s an early and fond farewell.

To summer!

Thanks for reminding that we have to wait until May of next year for garlic spears again! =)
