BUNS gourmet natural burgers

23 Jun

A walk around Redmond Town Center on a rainy Saturday after picking up produce from the farmers’ market brought us face to face with BUNS – a Seattle-based food truck that brings joy and happiness in between buns.  “Joy and happiness” is a metaphor for juicy meat patties in this household.  I like my joy and happiness well done.

I don’t know if the people behind the buns on wheels are the same people each time but the two gals and one guy manning BUNS at the time were cheery.  When I requested a sample of their maui sauce, one of the gals gave me a generous jigger.   The sauce was sweet, tangy, and ono.

But we didn’t order the maui.  Instead, we ordered the hottie.  It was tasty and juicy, but surprisingly not spicy.  On their menu, there’s a burger called the ferrari… it doesn’t use pony meat, so no worries, folks.  But even if it were made of horse meat, it shoud be no problem.  Hrm, I wonder how Pinkie Pie would taste like….

Fellow Seattlelites, here’s another food mobile for you.  If you catch sight of this sexy, juicy BUNS on wheels, holla!

The Hottie had a good amount of zest that didn’t overwhelm the burger but the chipotle mayo does have room for more heat.
